Are listings in the monkey classifieds really free?
Yes. There are absolutely no fees or charges to buy or sell items on the Monkey Classifieds and all listings include a free colour photograph.
What personal information will be displayed in my classified listings?

How do I get help using the monkey website?
We recommend that new users take the monkey
demo tour. Help is available on most pages throughout
the website or by visiting the contact us
page.
How soon will my listing appear in the classifieds?
Submitted listings that are approved for publication will appear in the
classifieds within 24hours. The monkey admin team screens the content of all
listings prior to publication to ensure the website remains safe for users of
all ages.
Can I modify my listing once it is published?
Yes. However the listing will have to be re-approved by the monkey admin team.
How long will my listing stay on monkey?
You have total control over your listing from the "My Account" screen. It is up to each individual user to manage their own listings on the monkey website. This includes editing, deleting and marking items as sold.
How do I know if anyone has viewed my items listed?
You can access your "My Account" page and see how many times your items have been viewed.
What is the difference between private and business registration?
Unlimited use of the free classifieds is available to both private and
business users. Business users have the additional option of placing "Monkey
Specials" within the website.
If you wish to promote a service or your website address, you will be required to either register as a business user or upgrade your membership on the
"My Account / My Details" page.
What are "monkey specials"?
Monkey Specials are the small advertising boxes that appear at the top of a
classified listing and at various other locations throughout the website.
If you wish to promote your services or your website on monkey.com.au you can do this by using the monkey special banners.

What about Fraud on the internet!
We do not allow members from outside Australia to join monkey.com.au.
We strongly suggest that buyers and sellers use secure methods of payment and despatch. Registered mail, registered couriers or picking up items in person.
Direct payment into Australian bank accounts is the safest way to transfer your funds or Australia Post money orders.
Do not use telegraph wire transfers such as Western Union to transfer funds to unknown parties. These forms of transfer are hard to trace.
And remember - If something seems too good to be true it usually is!
